SCRIP Program
What is SCRIP?
SCRIP is fundraising while you shop®. Instead of paying for everyday purchases with cash or credit cards, families order gift cards and use those for their shopping. Every gift card has a rebate on them, anywhere from 2% to 16%, which will go directly to Saints Philip and James when families purchase the cards at face value.
There is no selling. Unlike product fundraisers that require families to sell items, with SCRIP, going door- to-door or heckling friends and family members is not necessary. Families don’t have to sell the gift cards; they are simply raising money by purchasing gift cards for their personal use.
We could fundraise all year. A lot of fundraisers are taxing on families because they’re stop-and-go without a ton of downtime in between. SCRIP is a fundraiser that was designed to work all year round. Buying and budgeting with gift cards will simply become a part of a family’s lifestyle. They’ll get into a routine with SCRIP and see how much they’re earning, and they won’t want to stop using SCRIP.
